Camping Basics
Campsite reservations are limited to nationally recognized youth groups (i.e., BSA, GSA, AWANA, YMCA Adventure Guides, etc.). All campouts are FREE of charge.
Camping is year round, except during January when the park is closed. Overnight camping is allowed on Friday and Saturday nights (there is no camping during holiday weekends or special event weekends). Only Scouts/youth group members and their leaders/parents may camp. Family camping is not permitted.
We have three campsites available and each holds up to 75 people. Only one campsite per group may be accommodated. Cantigny is able to accommodate tent camping only (no campers or trailers).
Cantigny's campgrounds offer established fire pits, firewood, picnic tables and trash collection.
Campground restrooms, showers (for adults), potable water and recycling bins are located in the newly constructed Outdoor Education Center, adjacent to the campsites.
Advanced reservations are required. For Boy and Girl Scouts, a Certificate of Insurance and Tour Permit from your local council are also required.
To request a camping date(s), simply follow these steps:
1. View the availability calendar below to find available dates and times.
The sites you see listed are the sites available. If you do not see a site, it is already booked. If the date square is empty, there are no sites available that day.
2. Based on our availability calendar, complete a Camping Request Form. The Camping Request Form can be found on the left hand menu, under Documents, click Forms and Additional Resources. Please also download the list of camping policies and procedures for your review and reference.
3. Email your completed form as an attachment (preferred method) OR

Most requests will be processed the same day, but please allow up to three business days to process your request form. You will receive confirmation materials via email. Note that your reservation is not confirmed until you receive these materials.
